White Glint in 1/72: giving a NEXT room on your desk
A closer look at Kotobukiya's White Glint kit: its weapons, opening parts and the difference between building a model and buying a finished figure.

Recognize the machine before the small details
White Glint has a presence that begins with its outline. In the supplied product photograph, the pale armor and the equipment around it make a shape worth looking at as a whole. A model offers a way to keep returning to that shape from different angles, away from the pace of an ARMORED CORE encounter.
This entry covers Kotobukiya's LINEARK White Glint plastic model kit, identified by JAN 4934054056934. It is a 1/72-scale kit associated with ARMORED CORE for Answer, rather than a ready-assembled action figure. That distinction changes the appeal: part of the experience is putting the machine together and deciding how you want to present it.
Let the equipment shape the pose
The listed equipment includes two rifles and two SALINE05 missile units. These give you specific subjects to look for when studying the finished model's outline. Instead of beginning with the most dramatic pose you can imagine, you could first try a clear arrangement where the weapons and the body are easy to distinguish.
Then change one thing at a time. A different arm angle may change how the whole silhouette reads from your usual viewing position. Treat this as a display suggestion, not a claim that every pose will balance or that a photograph proves the limits of the joints. Follow the kit's instructions when assembling or moving its parts.
Opening parts invite a second look
The retailer's product description identifies opening missile hatches and an articulated booster. Those features suggest two different ways to present the same machine: a comparatively closed outline, or a view that gives more attention to its equipment. They also offer a reason to turn the model around rather than choose one permanent front view immediately.
A useful display session might be to settle on a single viewing angle, then see whether opening a hatch adds something from that angle. More exposed parts do not automatically make a more readable display. You may prefer the quieter arrangement. The choice is yours, and the archive does not assume that an expanded configuration is better.
A kit is a project, not a finished review sample
The listed height is approximately 160 mm, and the materials are PS, PE and ABS. The manufacturer product photograph represents a completed example; it should not be read as a promise that an untouched set of parts will look identical. We have not built or handled this kit, and do not make a claim here about fit, assembly difficulty or the result of a particular painting process.
If building is part of what draws you to the item, think about where the work and the eventual display will happen. You could leave room to keep subassemblies separate and return to the project in stages. The instructions and the materials actually supplied should determine the tools and methods you use; this article is an introduction to the subject, not an assembly guide.
Keep White Glint and V.O.B separate
This page identifies the White Glint kit and its listed equipment. It does not describe a bundled V.O.B set. If a retailer photograph or a similarly named listing shows additional equipment, compare the actual package contents before treating it as the same item.
The entry follows the February 2024 reproduction identified in the verified catalogue. Reproduction dates, package labels and a seller's individual listing can be different ways of describing an item, so use the identifier and the stated contents together. No additional stand, upgrade or accessory beyond the verified description is assumed.
Make the viewing angle part of the enjoyment
A model need not occupy a large scene to have a strong presence. At a desk or on a shelf, you could give White Glint enough clear space that its outline remains visible. Look from the position where you will actually see it most often, rather than only from the close angle used in a product photograph.
That is the particular invitation of this kit: spend time with a familiar machine as a physical arrangement of parts, weapons and openings. Building and displaying would be your own experience. The links below lead to the identified kit; the archive has not tested a purchased sample or promised an assembly outcome.
